Feed Pump serves to suck the fuel from the tank and pressed into the pump through the fuel filter. Feed Pump is a single acting pump mounted on the side of the injection pump and injection pump driven by the camshaft. Manual pump is also installed here to remove the air from the fuel line if necessary before starting the engine.
Chamber
of fuel injection pump should continue to fill fuel in sufficient
quantities, but the fuel pump alone can not provide enough material at
higher engine speeds. Therefore, the material should be
supplied diesel fuel to the injection pump at pressure and for that
purpose jetting pressure should be maintained at 1.8 - 2.2 kg / cm
(25-31 psi).
How it Works
Feed
pump injection pump driven by the camshaft causes the piston to move
back and forth so that they can suck and remove the fuel pressure. At rooler tappet camshafts do not push, push push rod piston downwards due pston tension spring. At that time the volume of the chamber presuure enlarge and open the inlet valve to suck the fuel.
Camshaft continues to rotate and sometimes pushing psiton through taped roller and push rod. Rising fuel psiton pressing pressure in the chamber, close the inlet valve and removed the fuel pressure.
